Where the $150,000 Figure Comes From
From 1 July 2026, employer-sponsored nominations must meet indexed floors:
- Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT): AUD $79,423 — the floor for most Skills in Demand (subclass 482) Core Skills and subclass 186 nominations
- Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT): AUD $146,576 — the floor for the Specialist Skills stream
